Biodiversity, a Source of Balance

The diversity of living organisms shapes a precious and useful ecosystem, expressed in each of the environments that surround us.

In the walnut grove, within the Jasnières enclosure, the meadow comes to life under the watchful care of Marjolaine, Bérangère, Florette, Fleur de Sel and Margueritte, our sheep, who help maintain it naturally.
In the tall grasses, a more discreet life unfolds, where pheasants nest sheltered from view.
Above, the great walnut trees — tall, sixty-year-old trees — spread their generous branches, welcoming birds and squirrels.

In the cool darkness of the underground cellars, bats find refuge, along with a pair of wrens, and, more recently, a family of swallows that accompany our harvests as curious observers.

Further down the hillside, the donkey meadow is home to Bonnie and Icare. Once the château’s vegetable garden, the Clos des Tuffières now shelters an abundance of fruit trees.

Finally, another enclosed meadow, richly covered with wildflowers, is dedicated to hay production.
Soon, beehives will be added, further enriching this natural balance.

Please drink responsibly.
